What to do in Savannah
Savannah is a great spot for ACTIVE LIVING! Whether you want to go to meetup events, art fairs, art classes, concerts, gallery openings, art classes, kayaking, jetskiing, paddleboarding, yoga, meditation, sound bowl cleansing, happy hour, running groups, walking groups, real estate investor meetings, game nights, or just sit on the beach, there is likely an event or group to do it with.
Short Itineraries
1. Explore Forsyth Park
Forsyth Park is an amazing place to run, walk, play tennis, basketball and people watch and just enjoy the iconic trees. After enjoying the park, head over to the Sentient Bean or Brighter Day for coffee or lunch. The Farmers Market starts at 9 am on Saturday mornings.
2. Bull Street Adventures
Bull Street stretches from downtown through midtown and runs you through the middle of Forsyth Park. It is a vibrant street where you can find many restaurants, vintage shops, art shops, galleries, the American Legion, yoga studios, magic shop, clothes, waffles, and tacos. Foxy Loxy has fire pit evenings, live music and a great back patio area. Starland Yard and the Starlandia area are just off Bull around 41st street.
3. Bonaventure Cemetery
Bring some food along and have a picnic by the river then explore the cemetery. You can also take a guided tour if you would like more details.
4. The Mercer Williams House
Read THE book (midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil) then eat at Clary’s Cafe. You can walk from there over to the Mercer Williams House for a guided tour and see where the events in teh book took place.
